Huixtla Elevated Viaduct: Connecting the South-Southeast

The Huixtla Elevated Viaduct in Chiapas, spanning 3 km, is a key piece of infrastructure supporting the tracks of the Interoceanic Train’s Line K. Beyond enhancing railway connectivity, it also brings value to the community with a linear park beneath it—a new space for recreation and gathering.

The viaduct is built on 85 columns—71 steel and 14 concrete—and consists of 84 prefabricated segments. Steel structures are ideal for bridging large spans, making this an efficient and durable solution. The final piece installed covered a 42-meter gap, a testament to the advanced engineering behind the project.

With this milestone, we successfully complete this section of the viaduct, reinforcing our commitment to modern infrastructure and regional development. More than just a structure, this project blends innovation with real benefits for the people it serves.
