Looking After Each Other at Work: A Commitment We Build Together

World Day for Safety and Health at Work – April 28

Today we’re reminded of something essential: workplace safety and health aren’t just rules to follow—they’re values we protect.

Each day, when we walk into work, we bring more than just tools or gear. We bring dreams, families, and life plans. That’s why staying safe isn’t just a personal duty—it’s an act of respect for our teammates and for those waiting for us at home.

Safety protocols give us the tools, guidance, and support to spot risks, prevent accidents, and respond effectively. But their true strength lies in everyone’s active participation—with focus, commitment, and teamwork.

Working side by side with our Safety team means understanding that every precaution, every procedure, and every warning sign exists to protect what matters most: our lives and the lives of those around us.

Today is a good time to renew our shared commitment:
  • • Stay aware of risks and act safely at all times.
  • • Report any unsafe conditions and follow established protocols.
  • • Support and look out for each other—correct with respect and offer help when needed.
  • • Value the work of those who make our workplace safer every day.

Safety culture is something we build together. In doing so, we create a space of respect, care, and well-being.

Today and always, staying safe is a way to honor our work—and everything it represents.
