\nAt Recal, we believe the future of our industry begins in the classroom. That\u2019s why we maintain partnerships with several academic institutions, including Universidad Panamericana, Tecnol\u00f3gico de Ocotl\u00e1n, UNIVA, Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Chapingo, Tecnol\u00f3gico Superior de Jalisco Campus Chapala, and Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Guadalajara (UAG), among others. These collaborations allow us to support the development of young talent and give students their first glimpse into the real-world workplace.\n<\/p>\n

Intern Success Story<\/h2>\n

\nWhile most of our interns are university students in their sixth semester or beyond, we occasionally welcome highly motivated students earlier in their academic journey. One such case is Karla Berenice Rodr\u00edguez Mart\u00ednez, a third-semester student of Industrial Design Engineering at Universidad de Guadalajara (UDG).\n<\/p>\n

“Here I learned to use AutoCAD and to draft in both 2D and 3D. I\u2019ve also had the chance to follow real projects, supervise work on the shop floor, identify improvement opportunities, and collaborate as part of a team. This experience has helped me grow professionally and socially, and has given me a clearer understanding of how the industry works,”<\/em> Karla shares.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Academic Collaborations<\/h2>\n

Preparing new generations must go beyond just passing on knowledge \u2014 it should focus on developing key skills and fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.<\/p>\n

\nWe currently host interns from institutions such as Universidad Tecnol\u00f3gica de Chapala, Tecnol\u00f3gico de Ocotl\u00e1n, Tecnol\u00f3gico de Ciudad Guzm\u00e1n, Universidad Tecnol\u00f3gica de la Zona Metropolitana de Guadalajara, CUCEI, CUCEA, CUCS, CECiTEC El Salto, and CONALEP El Salto. We take great pride in seeing how each of them brings enthusiasm, fresh ideas, and a strong desire to learn.\n<\/p>\n

Universidad Panamericana Mentorship<\/h3>

One of our recent success stories comes from our collaboration with Universidad Panamericana, whose students built a scale bridge for the Student Steel Bridge Competition 2025, an international contest held in May. Thanks to the team\u2019s dedication and preparation, they earned a historic first place at the regional level in five out of seven categories: Construction Speed, Structural Efficiency, Stiffness, Cost Estimation, and Construction Economy, as well as first place overall in their region.<\/p>

\nAt the global level, facing off against over 200 universities from around the world, they placed 22nd overall in the national phase\u2014the best result in the team\u2019s history.\n<\/p>
